How to Have PageRank 5 in 90 Days
Page rank or more positively "pagerank" can be a profound mystery to many of us but why and how do we attain it? Not every website has pagerank but why? And why should it be written as "pagerank" and not "page rank"?
Well, let's look at the last poser first. It's called "Pagerank" not because it has to do with your web pages but because the concept was invented by a man named Page. Actually, Lawrence Edward Page, born in Lansing, Michigan in 1973 and who just happens to be one of the co-founders of Google.
Right, now let's look at the second question, working back through the first paragraph. Working backwards is alright. We'll get to the point, eventually. The brief answer, though one we shall be discussing at length in a later article in this series, is that they haven't done enough to deserve it.
Right, let's go back to the first question. Why do you need it? A lot of clever people will tell you that it doesn't really matter and that's true for the less competitive keywords and phrases. However, if you're working in a highly contested area, it is of more importance and that will also be discussed in a later article.
The most important thing really is how to achieve a high pagerank on a scale of 1 - 10, where ten is virtually impossible. Hence the title of a new book on the subject Page Rank 5 in 90 Days penned by an up and coming guru named Danny Whitehouse. A pagerank of five is reckoned to be a good achievement for the average webmaster.
Whitehouse has "been there done that" and his account of how he did it fills an exhaustive 210 or so pages. He has a pleasant, style of writing that makes you feel like you're right alongside him chatting on the journey through to pagerank 5.
Every possible method of traffic generation, designed to provide the minimum number of visitors to be able to even think about achieving PR5 is considered. You just have to realise that if it isn't in this book, then it doesn't work, so don't bother with it. And it isn't only about the number of visitors either.
Whitehouse is a great builder of Twitter "apps" and a lot of his strategies revolve around Twitter as a hub but there's much more. He also loves the "Bum Marketing" strategies and gives good advice on them too.
"Page Rank 5 in 90 Days" is an extremely good read and refreshingly different in approach.

How to Find a Reliable Webhost
If you're really trying to make money online, having a dependable webhost is so important.
I've been through a couple of different hosts.
First I had a friend give me free hosting! Yup, 100% free. He had a reseller account.
But I never felt right about it when I noticed that the type of account said "Educational." He was teaching a course at a college so he qualified for an educational reseller account which is discounted from a regular reseller account. But that really should be for your students who can't afford to pay a lot for hosting. It shouldn't be for your friend who is trying to make money online.
So when my conscious kicked in, I decided it was time to join the rest of the world and pay for hosting. But who to try??
I went online and carefully read hosting reviews. I decided to go with a hosting company that a lot of people recommended. They claimed that their sites were up a lot and they hardly had any problems.
The features I wanted were a cheap price (since I'm not making much money online yet) and lots of add-on domains. They had an unbeatable offer: $5.00/month for hosting with unlimited add-ons domains.
I couldn't beat that with a stick. So I went with them.
I quickly found that, although their customer service was really good (I got immediate responses to my emails), my websites were constantly down!
It seems about half the time I randomly checked my sites, they were down. When I emailed customer service, the problem was resolved within minutes (they probably just rebooted the server), but it still happened quite a bit.
When it first started occurring, they moved me to a different server. Unfortunately it didn't fix the problem. So they moved me to another server again. On the third server, it was still happening.
How many times were my sites down when I didn't check? Every time my site goes down, I'm losing money twice; once because I'm losing potential sales and once because I'm paying for Google Adwords clicks that send the visitor nowhere.
So it was back to researching hosting companies.
This time I took a different approach. Instead of looking at what people said were good hosts, I did some spying.
I did a WhoIs check on a domain of a successful internet marketer. Whatever host he's using is good enough for me. If his site goes down, he would be losing a lot more money than I would. I found that the name servers resolved to hostgator servers.
I hadn't heard of Hostgator before but when I started poking around online, I found a lot of satisfied people. They have a set price for unlimited add-on domains, and they seem to be up a lot (I had never seen that internet marketer's site down) so I decided to give them a try.
It's been almost a year and I haven't had any problems with them.
So what I've learned from this is that the best way to find a good webhost is to use the same webhost that other successful internet marketers are using. Thanks to the WhoIs database, this information isn't hard to find.

How to make money with a Paid Membership Site
Whatever you call them - member only, membership, subscription, or mentor websites, they all have one thing in common. They are bringing in steady and constant cash flow for their owners, month after month, from a few hundred dollars to tens of thousands of dollars. The array of the topics of these websites is endless.
Some of these paid membership sites provide mentoring or coaching, others publish useful articles or information in a particular field or product. Still others publish the results of tests and studies or product reviews. Some membership sites provide specialized service or act as a meeting place for people with a common interest and then there are those that provide step-by-step instructions for such things as painting or music.
All these sites have one thing in common: to access the website (or the best information on the site) you have to pay for it! Which begs the question...why would anybody pay for information on the Internet?
The answer is simple. People buy information that they could probably find for themselves if they looked long enough and hard enough, because they want to save time or because they think the information will be better or more specialized or because the information just isn't available to them unless they pay for it.
Just a few short years ago it was almost unheard of to charge for access to a website and almost no one was doing it. Today, however, it is the norm and not the exception. Actually we have Internet dating sites to thank for this huge money making opportunity.
The Internet dating industry began with free membership sites that were mostly populated by nerds, weirdoes and perverts. It was quickly discovered that ordinary people would gladly pay to have access to lists where the posters had been screened even just a little. Now people actually expect to pay for access to valuable information.

Seo and Website Design – Affiliate SEO Tricks
There are supposedly expert moneymakers who, for a small fee of $100 to $200 will teach you how to earn $2,000 to $10,000 a month. You can try out their system for free, but, you will have to place a deposit to be able to get the free trial. Start-up capital = $49 to $100 depending on deposit requirements.
Finally, you can be a passive internet salesperson. I call it passive because all you have to do is establish a base of operations in the internet. Once that base has been established, you have the potential to earn from $0 to unlimited income. All you have to do afterwards is maintain or update that base once every three months. And yes, this advice is free. No trial offers, and no deposits required. Read on please.
Vendor sites like amazon.com offer internet surfers the opportunity of earning additional income in exchange for the promotion of their website and products. This is how it works. You will need to sign-up for affiliate membership. Most vendor sites that offer affiliate programs do not charge you for this. This is only fair since you will be selling them to people. Be wary of vendor sites that charge fees for membership to their affiliate programs.
Once you join-up, they will give you a reference number or an ID number that you will paste into your html scripts. Your vendor site will give you instructions on how to paste them.
Normally, an affiliate will have to have a website where they can promote the vendor site. You will promote the vendor site by adding links to the site's home page and some specific products which you think will sell more. You will need to design your website to accommodate these links as well as alter some of your websites graphics to make way for banners, or picture links. Don't forget to add the ID or reference number to the link so that the vendor can identify your referral.
Once you have the links in place, you will need to write some 250++ words about the product you are selling. I recommend allotting 1 web page per product as this will help you in search engine result rankings. The content you write will have to be relevant and filled with keywords that pertain to the product itself. Once everything is done, you need to find out if your website shows up in search engine queries when browsing for your product.
If you think this is too much work, you can try writing newsletters about a product on a vendor site that contains links to the product. You then post the newsletter on the internet and hope that a search engine indexes it.
Mind you, this isn't a get rich quick scheme. Times are hard and we need all the financial assistance we can get. This is just one option where you can possibly earn a lot more than your current income.
