WidgetBucks FAQ
You earn money each time someone clicks on a WidgetBucks ad widget on your site, also called pay-per-click, or PPC. You can also earn money by referring people to WidgetBucks.
Getting started with WidgetBucks is a simple 1-2-3 process. First, sign-up. Second, configure your widgets with our easy publishing system. Third, paste the code into your blog or Web page, or use our integration with popular blog platforms such as TypePad, Blogger and WordPress. If you want to change or update your WidgetBucks widgets in the future, simply sign in and go to My Widgets.
How much you earn depends largely on your site’s traffic and content. A number of publishers who have tested WidgetBucks are seeing a $3-6 CPM.
How often do I get paid?
We send out checks for all revenue earned within 45 days after the end of each month, as long as you’ve earned a minimum of $50. For example, if you signed up for WidgetBucks in October, you would receive your first commission payment within 45 days of Oct. 31, approximately mid December.
Simply select “Check” as your preferred payment method and complete the Payee information on your “My Settings” page. As a reminder, we have a strictly enforced Privacy Policy.
MerchSense™ is Mpire’s patent-pending contextual algorithm engine. It detects and analyzes the content of your website or blog to determine what product offers are most relevant to your audience. If you choose the MerchSense option when creating a new widget, simply place the code on your site and let MerchSense automatically provide the most appropriate ad content. MerchSense evaluates your editorial information daily, so, as your content changes, WidgetBucks will dynamically offer the highest-yielding products.
Yes. When you sign-up with WidgetBucks, you’ll automatically receive a $25 bonus into your account to get the ball rolling. This means you are half way to your first payout with WidgetBucks. Read our Terms & Conditions for all the details.
Yes. When you refer a new WidgetBucks user, you will receive a 10 percent referral fee based on the commissions earned by the people you refer. You’ll receive this 10 percent for the full 12 months after the new member joins. Your referral fees will be credited to your account and paid monthly, along with your commission payout. So, if you refer someone, and they make $100 in commissions, we pay you $10; if they make $1,000, we pay you $100. This continues for a whole year on all the commissions they earn. The Referral/Bonus page has details on the Bonus and Referral Program. When you are logged-in, go to the Referral Tools page to grab referral ads. You will soon see a “Grab this Widget” link on all widgets for viral distribution, which includes your referral information.
Note that the cookie used to identify those you refer lasts for 30 days after they click on a referral link.
Yes, there is no limit to how many you can place on your site.
Yes, WidgetBucks is compatible with all other ad systems.
In many cases, a blogging/publishing platform will not allow the user to directly edit/enter HTML directly and/or there are restrictions on including javascript within a post. In these cases, you will not be able to place a widget in a post, but you may be able to add the widget to the sidebar. Sidebars are provided by nearly all blogging/publishing platforms, and they typically support HTML/Javascript. For example, WordPress does not allow certain types of accounts to add Javascript. Blogspot and Typepad are examples of platforms that allow you to place the widget code directly in a blog post and/or in the sidebar. Widgetbucks currently has direct integration with Blogger and Typepad to add the widget directly to a sidebar. You can also copy/paste the HTML code directly into a blog post on these platforms. WordPress is also a very popular blogging platform, but has some specific WordPress steps that must be followed to support javascript within your post. As a rule, if your platform allows you to directly edit HTML, you should be able to post a widget.
Impression and click counts are updated hourly. Revenue reporting occurs within 72 hours. At the bottom of the My Widgets report view we state how current the revenue reporting is. After a couple of days of revenue information, you can calculate a rough estimate of how much your site is earning.
Yes. Widgetbucks can be placed on any site that has traffic. Because all of the products are from US based merchants and are in US dollars, the likelihood of click conversion is greater for a US targeted audience, but you can still use WidgetBucks on Non-U.S. based sites.
No! You can use Widgetbucks on any kind of site or pages you are looking to monetize. We’ve seen our shopping widgets be effective on specific product blogs, entertainment sites, or even local search engines. Try out a few different widgets and see what works best for your customers, but regardless, you’ll be making money! We have noticed that well-placed, contextual WidgetBucks ads can yield over very high eCPM, in many cases over $6 eCPM. Location of the ad is important – this is not a CPM ad, so it needs to be “above the fold” and if you are selecting a specific content category, be sure it applies to your site content. Otherwise, use the MerchSense option and it will snap content to your page automatically based on page content and demographics.

3You cant cash out that 25 unless you earn 25 in clicks. and trust me they make more than 50 off of 25 dollars worth of clicks.
I dont think its a scam cause mpires a trustworthy company and the payout is realistic ie 45 days unlike auctionads and some other bad networks that promise to pay at the end of the month.
But no way to tell for sure so we’ll just have to wait until December 15th to see.

41) use ads type 160×600 (best paying for me) because in big size banners more products showing than small size banners you can check this by own.
2) use the electronic products ->> cell phones ->> my 95% of earnings are from these ads and other ads dont paying a lot because peoples attract toward cell phone more than anything. (i experiment this).
3) create new widget for every new page you are going to add WB ads because accroding to me WB will not approve clicks from unknown page thats why while creating new widget they ask that where you are going to put his widgetbucks ad.
already earns 125$ in 5 days and my earnings with adsense is very low compare to this (just 130$/month or less than it

5Adsense and Widgetbucks in one Site/Page?
AdSense publishers may display ads from other contextual ad networks on the same page as Google ads only if the formatting or color scheme of these ads is sufficiently different from the layout of the Google ads. In other words, if you choose to place non-Google ads on the same site or page as Google ads, it should always be clear to the user that the ads are served by different advertising networks and that the non-Google ads have no association with Google. If the formats are naturally similar, we’d ask that you use different color schemes for the competing ads.
Of course, we’re constantly investing in our advertising technology, and we believe that Google ads will monetize best for most publishers. Be aware that the addition of third party ads to your site may cause fewer users to click the Google ads on your site and thus your AdSense earnings may decrease. We’d also recommend that publishers be careful not to place excessive advertising on their sites, as doing so may result in fewer repeat visitors.

6WidgetSucks – WidgetBucks Sucks
Many looked at WidgetBucks as a worthy alternative to Google AdSense, but as we know & now many have learned…there is NO SUCH THING!
WidgetBucks offers $25 as a bonus for signing up, which is frankly why many publishers register with WidgetBucks, surely a company that believes in itself and the services it is providing, would let the ‘product’ in this case their widgets to sell itself.
Many publishers are under the impression that the earning statistics they are seeing when they sign in is the actual amount they are owed by WidgetBucks, however this is not the case, many accounts are being drastically altered to show their ‘real’ earnings generated.
Recently the terms of WidgetBucks were amended which disqualified all non-english sites & their earnings, further causing anger amongst publishers as to why they were accepted in the first place if non-english sites were not allowed & what about the earnings they accumulated which advertisers are being charged for?
Sooner or later, most likely sooner, many people are going to be upset and angry that WidgetBucks has ‘stolen’ their earnings, reduced their earnings, have not paid by Widgetbucks, amongst many other scenarios.
So this blog has been set up for those who have been swindled by WidgetBucks.
Let off some steam & share your experiences & warn others of what they are letting themselves in for…

7I aint sure if i posted this already here coz i cant find it……..
Enough skeptics with posts/threads/articles/emails that its a scam
now ill tell u why it aint a Scam
Why WidgetBucks is Not A SCAM!!!!
–>Many email forwards, posts on forums, articles on sites saying it’s a scam.
–>Now ,Cutting straight to the point in this article, why WidgetBucks is not a scam.
–>They updated their existing code to suit faster loading on sites upon complaints by publishers( Means they are listening. If they never intended to pay you, why the hell all the pain to update it)
–>hey are banning people for fraud clicks. Again, they are at risk from fraud clickers coz they are gonna have to pay them. They wouldn’t have taken the pains to ban the fraud clickers if they aint gonna have to pay.
–>Look in your Mybucks column. Yeah, Your earnings from the past month have been updated including referral earnings. Do I need to say more??
–>Go to their mainpage and check out the list of their partners. Lots of bigshots ranging from ebay to whateverlife. Don’t tell me they are gonna fool them and get away with it
–>and yeah one thing, Look at the widgets, Its so fricking professional and of high standard. Now, again dont expect me to explain the corelation between the two.
–>And finally Look at the people behind the making of WIDGETBUCKS
The People Behind Widget Bucks and Their Roles within.
